Getting an accurate ADHD diagnosis has always been part science and part clinical judgment. Historically, providers relied on interviews, history-taking, and rating scales — useful tools, but all of them are subjective by nature. We are pleased to announce that A Beautiful Mind Psychiatry has integrated Creyos computerized cognitive testing into our ADHD evaluation process, giving our clinicians objective performance data alongside the clinical picture.
What Is Creyos Testing?
Creyos is a validated, FDA-registered online assessment that measures core cognitive abilities through short, gamified tasks completed on a computer or tablet. In about 15 to 25 minutes, it objectively measures attention, impulsivity, working memory, processing speed, and response consistency — the exact domains where ADHD shows up. The tasks feel more like a video game than a test, which makes the experience much easier for children, teens, and adults alike.
Why Objective Data Matters for ADHD
Symptoms of ADHD overlap heavily with anxiety, depression, sleep deprivation, and even normal modern life — everyone feels distractible sometimes. Objective cognitive data helps separate a true attention disorder from conditions that mimic it, and it gives us a baseline against which treatment progress can be measured. Over time, repeat testing can show whether medication and strategies are actually moving the needle, not just how things feel week to week.
What This Means for New Patients
If you schedule an ADHD evaluation with us, Creyos testing is now part of the standard assessment process. The results are interpreted by your provider together with your clinical history and any rating scales — testing supports the diagnosis; it never replaces the conversation. If attention, focus, or follow-through have been a lifelong struggle, there has never been a better time to get clear, data-informed answers. Contact our office to schedule your evaluation.
